Modern
communications have made us all better informed! If only
that were true! The truth is that most of us have the
tools and the ability to obtain and digest the most up
to date information. Time and inclination also play
their part. This website together with our sister site,
that of the Blackpool Group and our Provincial website
are only tools, but an important and practical method of
disseminating news, information, education and
elucidation. The webmaster and your Group officials have
put together a package which sets out to provide you the
reader with interesting and informative articles.
They
welcome feedback so as to assess whether the items
posted are what you want to read and see. They are
thirsty for your articles. Items, which will keep you
and your friends coming back time and again so that
together we can create a living vibrant and worthwhile
source for information and inspiration.
My role as
an APGM is enabling me to get around the lodges in both
the South Fylde and Blackpool Groups. I am enjoying the
work and I hope that my enthusiasm for the job is
infectious. I hope too that you consider me
approachable. I am always willing to listen but I can’t
always guarantee to agree with your views. I do though
consider it important for the good of the craft to
maintain an open mind and to be ready willing and able
to embrace change when deemed necessary. Like many of my
peers I welcome the policy of openness. I believe that
if freemasonry is to remain a force for good then we all
need to be comfortable to talk about our interest, our
hobby and our freemasonry with our family, our friends
and our neighbours.
Please
don’t hesitate to contact me personally. E-mail is my
preferred method of correspondence, I am more than happy
to receive mail from visitors to our websites. I don’t
promise an immediate reply but I do read my e-mail
regularly and I would be pleased to hear from you on
